Change records is a canadian record company founded by Jeff Smith in 1977 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sounds Interchange Ltd.
Bob Johnston was national promo director. Most early material was produced by John James Stewart who headed Sound Interchange's production company Inter-Productions.
Initial distribution was handled by Polydor Ltd. but in early 1980 switched to MCA Records (Canada). Sold to Syd Kessler's Kessler Music Corp. in 1980 along with Sounds Interchange.
